The BCIT Computing Club (CC) offers valuable guidance and events for all students interested in computing.

The BCIT Computing Club (CC) and Coding 4 All (C4A) offer valuable guidance, events, and opportunities for students interested in computing.
The CC has brought events such as HTTPHacks Hackathon, Midterm/Final Reviews, and LeetCode nights to computing students.
Together, these clubs help support the BCIT computing community through initiatives such as hackathons, midterm and final review sessions, LeetCode nights, and other student-focused events.

## Work
Other Executives and I had taken the time to bundle, rework, and host CST Reviews for term 2 students midterms, as well as plans for finals reviews. Each of us taking on a single course to focus and providing example questions, quizies and guidence to large audiences.

Additionally we are volunteering at the upcoming Hack the Break (March 13-15 2026), assisting with setup, teardown, and general staffing.

## Why it mattered to me
Before I officially joined the CC, I had attended my friends who are also executives giving a review session and guidence to students in a previous term. I had helped to answer some questions both one on one and to the larger audience as a whole. As well as hearing about all the hard work put into hosting the HTTPHack for students, I knew I wanted to join and further contribute to this amazing club and community.
Before officially joining the BCIT Computing Club and Coding 4 All, I had already attended review sessions led by friends who were also executives. During those sessions, I was able to help answer questions both one-on-one and for the larger audience. Hearing more about the work that went into organizing events like HTTPHacks also made it clear to me that this was something I wanted to be part of.
This has given me the chance to learning valuable lessons while volunteering in several events to help coordinate, setup and guide students to do their best.
Joining these clubs gave me the opportunity to contribute more directly to a community that supports students in practical ways, while also helping me learn valuable lessons through volunteering, coordination, event setup, and guiding students to do their best.
