## Overview
DayZ Reforger is one of my largest personal software projects and one of the clearest examples of my interest in backend systems, data parsing, and practical tools built around real users.
The project started as a Discord bot for DayZ server communities and grew into a larger system for processing Nitrado server logs, storing structured player and server data, and presenting useful information back to admins and players through Discord-based tools.
## What It Does
The bot parses large volumes of raw server log data and turns it into usable features such as live killfeeds, player statistics, combat log detection, area alarms, faction armbands, and server activity insights.
Rather than treating the bot as a collection of isolated commands, I designed it around modular handlers and data-driven services so features could grow over time without making the codebase harder to maintain.
## Focus Areas
- Parsing and structuring raw DayZ/Nitrado server logs
- Storing player, event, and server data in MongoDB
- Building Discord-based admin tools for real server communities
- Designing modular services and handlers for long-term maintainability
- Turning messy log data into useful analytics and automation features
## Notes
This project reflects the kind of software I enjoy building most: practical backend-heavy systems that process real-world data, automate repetitive work, and give users better visibility into what is happening across their communities.
It also became the foundation for a broader admin and analytics ecosystem, including work toward a web panel, API, and dedicated log-processing services.
